Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m in love with drinking plain water. I don’t have a problem with it, but some people, especially people who are new to the fitness community, like a little more flavor in their drinks. So, I put together a couple ways to naturally flavor your water. Note:
Replace regular water with this detox water to stay hydrated throughout the day. (it’ll be easier, too.!)
Don’t forget to change the fruits 2-3 times after refilling so the fruits don’t lose their benefits and the water won’t begin to taste nasty.
I recommend buying a water bottle specifically for detox water, but if you don’t have one it’s perfectly okay. I got mine here.
Slice everything as thin as possible so your water doesn’t taste overpowered with to much flavor.
Let the water sit in the fridge around 2 hours - overnight so the fruits can infuse in the water.

1. Fat Burning Detox Water (The grapefruit leaves a bitter-like taste in your mouth, and you can taste it really good in the water.)
1 Strawberry (stimulates the burning of stored fat.)
1/2 small cucumber (prevent water retention and also have many anti-inflammatory properties.)
1/4 grapefruit, sliced into triangles. (fat-burning enzyme that can help to absorb and reduce the starch and sugar in the body.)
ice water (obvi????)
2. Belly Slimming Detox Water <—- My favorite one.
4-5 slices of cucumber (prevent water retention and also have many anti-inflammatory properties)
1/2 small lemon (helps clear out your digestive system)
1/4 orange (stimulates the immune system and protects against a fungi/pests while helping to reduce cholesterol levels.)
3-4 mint leaves(helps the body digest more easily and it also soothes any stomach cramps you may have.)
ice water duh
3. Metabolism Boosting Detox Water (I haven’t tried this yet, I don’t really like raspberries.)
2-3 slices of orange (Vitamin C will strengthen your immune system.)
3-4 raspberries (phytonutrients increases your metabolism.)
green tea or water. (A natural diuretic that boosts levels of fat oxidation.)

Aaron Eckhart talks about his scene with Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight:
"Heath and I were in the same trailer coming up with our looks. (I would be working on Two-Face and Heath would be on the other side with his makeup man). Heath would be making noises…I would look over, and he’s coming up with his makeup [design], which I thought was real special…My one experience with Heath on the film was our scene together in the hospital bed. I thought, ‘Well I don’t really have any lines. What am I going to do?’ I had no idea what was going to happen. (So, I got in the bed, they were lighting, Chris was walking around and doing things). Then, Heath came around. He was always in character…He would come around and be talking to himself in the corner (growling like the Joker). I was laying there watching him the whole time. He would come around me (making the sounds and turning his head)…He didn’t say anything for maybe an hour…then he would start saying his lines…(I would keep watching him) then all of a sudden my hand would come up, and he caught my hand…We just went through this organic process of developing this scene, which was really nothing. When it came time to shoot, we had this thing beautifully choreographed. We never said a word to each other. It was a long day, and we walked out to our trailers. I was walking and Heath puts his hand on my shoulder and says, ‘That’s what acting is all about.”

#can we just stop and appreciate Harry’s face in this scene? #I mean, he’s literally waiting for someone to say something about Hermione’s blood status #she’s the only Muggleborn in the slug club full of purebloods and well known people #and Harry’s there just like “say something I dare you” #and if you look at her face, you can see the actual hesitation and somewhat fear of what will happen next after telling of her parents occupation #Harry truly is acting like Hermione’s big brother, which I absolutely love #i just adore this scene

I love that Neville looks genuinely interested in what hermione’s talking about.

Harry: I wish a mofo would talk shit right now
Say something, make my day

I feel like these four modern day women embody certain elements which captures feminism in a whole or, at least, almost whole.

  • Lorde: She’s a clear eccentric with a penchant for musical experimentation. Though she has commented on Lana Del Rey’s music, regarding it anti-feminist, she herself has encouraged girls to follow their own unique path even it if is weird or mocked. She characterizes the sort of girls who are bullied for being odd and are looked down upon for their unattractive persona.
  •  Marina: She has a very “pretty in pink”, bubbly sort of look, but encourages girls to fight for their independence (which is evident in her music). She characterizes the very feminine side of women who enjoy being girly and surround themselves with the color pink.
  • Miley: She’s sexually rebellious and, despite the overbearing critiques against her, she maintains confident in her awing behavior. She has been deemed a “slut”, thus it is only fitting that she is the embodiment of women who practice their sexuality or bare their harmless skin to the world and are deemed “hoes”.
  • Lana: She herself has been noted for having several intimate relations with men, but has not come under as harsh of an attack as Miley for her ladylike image. Her ambition is to be the embodiment of elegance and lady behavior that was once the norm back during the 50s. She represents a time of more evident oppression for women in the States, but does not in fact expect other women to follow her role. Thus, she is deemed a feminist in my eyes because she chooses to behave submissively for she likes it. Other women do, in fact, share this trait and so she represents them respectively.

I’m sorry if this may seem like a rudimentary list or commentary, but I came up with it in like five minutes. If I come under backlash for logic, which does seem to be quite in evidence seeing that these musicians are quite firm with their “looks”, then I expect it seeing that this is tumblr: home of the butt-hurts.
